Baho Foundation aims to empower families, small businesses, and communities in Rwanda shunned by the financial and administrative system. With millions of Rwandans currently living in subpar social, economic, and environmental conditions, we have taken it upon ourselves to drive change through education, women empowerment campaigns, access to medicine and culture, and youth development programs.

Because we believe that the Rwanda community is our community, we try to help and see everyone through the same lens. We’re committed to the prevalence of justice, hope, and fairness in our society, giving people an equal chance to uplift themselves out of poverty through education, working toward financial stability.

Moreover, we work to prevent the abuse and exploitation of children by rescuing them from hostile environments and providing life-saving healthcare and accommodations. We also focus on the physical and psychological needs of street children living in slums in Rwanda, providing them with medical assistance and facilities to successfully battle malnutrition and other health scares.

Eradicating poverty has been one of the biggest challenges facing Rwandans for the past couple of years. With around 39% of the population living below the poverty line and a majority of the rural Rwandans operating subsistence farms, it leaves them with little time and income. Our education programs strive to make quality education accessible, making it a key factor in eradicating poverty and providing others with skills to live an independent and self-sufficient life.

The Baho Foundation empowers local and global communities via a threefold system. We help other people through short, medium, and long-term life-changing development plans. Not only that, but we are also striving to create leaders for tomorrow. This is why we also organize effective leadership training, mentorship programs, cultural support, and education training to build a resilient, self-aware, and growth-oriented community.
